Leicester City Dismiss Steve Cooper Following Chelsea Defeat

Leicester City have sacked Steve Cooper as their head coach.

The Premier League side announced this in a statement on Sunday.

The Foxes additionally revealed that assistant coach Ben Dawson will immediately take charge of training.

“Men’s first-team sessions will be managed by first-team coach Ben Dawson, aided by Danny Alcock and Andy Hughes, as the club starts the process of hiring a new head coach, which we aim to finalize quickly,” the statement stated.

Cooper was removed a day after Leicester suffered a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester City are currently 16th in the Premier League after 12 fixtures.
