Former Super Eagles skipper, Sunday Oliseh, has voiced his appreciation for Atalanta striker Ademola Lookman, commending his remarkable skills, betandsured.com reveals.
The 26-year-old was once more among the scorers for Gian Piero Gasperini’s team in their 3-1 triumph over Parma, which elevated them to the summit of the Serie A standings.
In a recent conversation with News Central, Oliseh outlined why he regards Lookman as an exceptional footballer, highlighting the striker’s attributes and promise on the field.
“Ademola Lookman is an exceptional player,” Oliseh remarked. “Why I consider Lookman to be an exceptional player is due to the traits, the features essential for the role Lookman plays and how he delivers them.
“He doesn’t deliver them at five out of ten, he doesn’t deliver them at six out of ten, he achieves most of them at 7.5, 8 out of ten, so that’s why I say he’s an exceptional player.”
The Super Eagles forward has also been shortlisted for the 2024 CAF Player of the Year honour, where he will face competition from players like Achraf Hakimi, Serhou Guirassy, Ronwen Williams, and others.
After Lookman’s stellar displays for both the Nigerian national team and his club, many regard him as a leading contender to claim the esteemed accolade.
The CAF honour, which covers the timeframe between January 2024 and October 2024, is scheduled to take place on December 16th in Marrakech, Morocco.
