West Bromwich Albion are unlikely to sell Josh Maja in January, according to Baggies insider, Callum Burgess.
The Nigerian forward has excelled in the Sky Bet Championship this term, scoring 10 goals for Albion.
Maja is now the top marksman in the Championship.
Burgess stated West Brom’s firm stance on Tom Fellows last summer proved they are challenging to deal with, and that staying at The Hawthorns is ideal for the striker at this point in his career.
“It would be a transfer that plenty of Albion supporters wouldn’t have predicted,” Burgess explained to Football League World.
“And neither would they anticipate it materialising either due to Maja’s immense significance to the squad.
“In the summer, we demonstrated with Tom Fellows that we don’t make negotiations simple for other clubs when they attempt to acquire our players.”
