Out of favour Nigeria international striker Emmanuel Dennis rejected the chance of a mutual termination of his agreement by English Premier League club Nottingham Forest after falling out of favour.
Dennis has failed to achieve the level that made him successful at Watford in his first season in the English Premier League since his transfer to Forest for a sum in the region of £20m in August 2022.
Two years on and with another two years remaining in his contract at the club, the 27-year-old was told by manager Nuno Espirito Santo that he is not required, and subsequently excluded him from his list of registered players for the campaign.
He was offered the possibility of mutually ending his contract so he could move on a free to revive his career, but he rejected the option and will instead consider his alternatives in the summer.
Sources indicate he is nonetheless open to a loan transfer in January, but the club, who are in no way opposing his departure, will instead prefer a permanent transfer just to remove his wages from their payroll.
