ARSENAL are plotting a blockbuster summer double swoop on RB Leipzig with Mikel Arteta ready to splash the cash on two of the Bundesliga’s hottest properties.
The Gunners boss has reportedly set his sights on French centre back Castello Lukeba, while exciting winger Antonio Nusa has also emerged on the north Londoners’ radar.
According to Teamtalk and German outlet Fussballdaten, Leipzig would demand a whopping €60million (£50m) for EACH player. That means prising both talents away from the Red Bull Arena would set the Emirates coffers back a cool £100m.
Lukeba, valued at €45m by Transfermarkt, has been a rock at the back for Marco Rose’s side. But it’s Nusa the 19 year old Norwegian trickster who has really got scouts purring with his electrifying runs and growing end product.
Whether Arsenal have the appetite for such a hefty double outlay remains to be seen. But with Leipzig known as stubborn negotiators, the Gunners won’t get either on the cheap.
MAN UTD SEND SCOUTS TO SAN SIRO BUT TARGET SEES RED IN DRAMATIC DERBY
MANCHESTER United ran the rule over defensive duo Federico Dimarco and Pierre Kalulu on Saturday but one of them lasted just 76 minutes.
Red Devils scouts was in attendance at the San Siro for Inter Milan’s thrilling 3-2 derby victory over AC Milan, with both players firmly on their summer shortlist.
Dimarco, 28, once again showcased why he’s one of Europe’s most feared left backs. The Italy international has been in red hot form this term, bagging six goals and providing a staggering 13 assists already for Simone Inzaghi’s runaway Serie A leaders.
But it was a night to forget for Juventus loanee Kalulu. The 25 year old French defender, valued at around €28m, was given his marching orders after picking up two bookable offences in the tempestuous San Siro clash.
United’s recruitment team got a proper look at both for better or worse.
LIVERPOOL STAR HAS ‘ONE DREAM’ AND IT INVOLVES JOINING TRENT AT REAL MADRID
LIVERPOOL midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai could be destined to follow Trent Alexander Arnold to the Bernabeu, according to his Hungary boss.
Marco Rossi has dropped a major hint that the Reds’ No.8 dreams of swapping Anfield for the Spanish capital down the line. With Alexander Arnold heavily tipped to make the move to Real Madrid when his contract expires, Szoboszlai might not be far behind.
Rossi told Marca: “I know he has one dream in his career. He would like to play for Real Madrid one day.”
The Hungarian playmaker, valued at a hefty €85m, has been a key figure for Arne Slot’s side this term. But with Madrid always on the lookout for Galáctico talents, Szoboszlai’s box to box energy and eye for goal fits the bill.
Liverpool fans won’t want to hear it but if Trent heads out the exit door, they could be waving goodbye to their Hungarian hero too.
