Inter Milan are STORMING towards the Serie A title and the Italian press reckons Cristian Chivu’s machine simply “has no rivals” left in the race .
The Nerazzurri brushed aside Genoa 2-0 at a bouncing San Siro, extending their lead at the top to THIRTEEN points with just 11 games remaining . The maths are becoming very, very favourable.
Here’s the scary part ,this performance came under difficult circumstances. Inter were back at San Siro for the first time since THAT humiliating Champions League exit to Bodo/Glimt . They were without Lautaro Martinez. Denzel Dumfries wasn’t fully sharp.
Didn’t matter. Not one bit.
THE STATEMENT
Goals from Federico Dimarco and Hakan Calhanoglu (from the spot) sealed a comfortable afternoon’s work . No fuss. No drama. Just three points and another step towards the Scudetto.
La Repubblica’s verdict was brutal in its simplicity: “Inter have no rivals.”
They’re not wrong. Since the first derby of the season, Inter have won EVERY single Serie A game, the only blip being that defeat to Napoli . That’s relentless. That’s champion stuff.
THE CONTEXT
Let’s not pretend this was straightforward emotionally. Bodo/Glimt knocked them out of Europe midweek. A Norwegian team. At the San Siro. That stings for a club of Inter’s stature.
But Chivu’s men responded like champions do. They turned up, did the job, and reminded everyone why they’re running away with this league.
With AC Milan facing Cremonese later today and the derby next weekend, the gap could grow even further . Imagine being 13 points clear and still extending your lead. That’s dominance.
WHAT IT MEANS
Thirteen points. Eleven games. If Inter keep this up, they’ll be popping champagne long before the final day.
Chivu has built something special, a side that absorbs setbacks, ignores absences, and just keeps winning. No stars throwing tantrums. No drama. Just results.
The Scudetto is theirs to lose. And right now, nobody in Italy looks capable of taking it off them.
